Mental Health and Well-being in Aging
A four-part webinar series
developed by the Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Gerontology in collaboration with the Virginia Department of Social Services
for professional caregivers working in Adult Day Care settings.
OBJECTIVES
At the end of this training, participants will have:
- A foundation, awareness and understanding of good mental health as a critical component of older adults’ overall well being.
- Basic knowledge of mental illnesses that may occur in older adults and tips for investigating.
- A tool kit for promoting mental health, more in depth look at tips and things you can do to promote good mental health care.
- A set of resources and support mechanisms.
CERTIFICATES
Certificates will be available upon attending Part I, reviewing online Parts II, III, IV and passing a quiz on the four-part series.
